PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sparky Sampson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cru Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sparky Sampson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 33 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cru Jones!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paulsen Ambrosius and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Sampson pushes Jones off looking to stand but Jones dives back in and keeps control.
Sampson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Sampson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jones tries to avoid it but Sampson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jones to the ground. Jones escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
