With a record of 22 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Eric Lawson!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Ackerman and Colin Fotheringham.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grant throws a right and a left that Lawson avoids nicely.
Grant swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Lawson has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Lawson throws out a loose jab but Grant uses good head movement to avoid it.
Grant goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

It looks like Eric Lawson has been cut.
Grant lands with a shot to the body.
Grant swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Lawson counters with a low kick, right behind Grant 's knee.

Lawson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Grant to the ground. Lawson is now in Grant's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Lawson prevents Grant from getting back to his feet.
Lawson won't allow Grant to sweep him here.

Grant has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lawson trying to control the position from guard on top but Grant is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Grant is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lawson is controlling him.

Lawson wants to control from the top but Grant keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Eric Lawson.
Lawson on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Grant throws a jab but it's blocked by Lawson.
Ulysses Grant seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lawson is looking to clinch.
A looping hook to the body misses from Grant. Lawson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Lawson tries to clinch but Grant moves out of range.
Grant swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Lawson counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Lawson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Grant but Grant pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Grant slaps away a takedown attempt from Lawson, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Lawson looks for a takedown but Grant sprawls well.
Ulysses Grant has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eric Lawson.

Lawson takes the fight into the clinch.
Grant lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Grant pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Grant cracks Lawson with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Lawson falls to his knees and Grant doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
