Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vito Starkard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bubba James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James has chosen Biscuits & Gravy as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vito Starkard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bubba James! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James throws a series of strikes that have Starkard backpedaling.
James connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Starkard momentarily.
Starkard tries to close the distance and clinch up but James swats him away and circles back towards the center. Starkard circles away from the clinch attempt.
Starkard tries to clinch up but James circles away and keeps his distance. Starkard tries to clinch but James moves out of range. James takes the fight into the clinch. James managing to block the knees to the body from Starkard.
James breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Starkard has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! James scores with a jab to the head.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Starkard tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Starkard wants to break free but James has control.
Starkard has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. James is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. James gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
It looks like Vito Starkard has been cut. A nice glancing elbow lands by James. Starkard tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. James just stands there and leans against the cage. James manages to break the clinch.
James rushes Starkard and presses him up against the cage. Starkard is trying to break the clinch but James has him pressed against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. James's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. James connects with a jab. James has managed to clinch.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. James breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bubba James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Starkard throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around James's waist but James gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Starkard off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vito Starkard. That's going to take a lot out of him. James drops Starkard with a nice combination! James dives into Starkard's guard, looking to finish!
Starkard is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. James stands up over Starkard, holding on to his feet. James throws the legs to one side and dives in with a huge shot that lands flush on the chin! Starkard is out cold! James lands a couple more shots and the ref tackles him out of the way! What a brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Bubba James! As Bubba James got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: This is the greatest moment in my career. I've always dreamed of winning a world title. And now i have done it! I would like to thank Jonathan Rowe for this title shot. Thank you to all who believed in me. '.
