Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fermin Hammond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Carroll (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andy Carroll will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Fermin Hammond! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Andy Carroll! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Richard Clark and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carroll tries to keep at a distance but Hammond has taken the fight into the clinch. Hammond jumps guard and drags Carroll to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Hammond is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Hammond prevents Carroll from standing back up.
Hammond slows the pace down in half guard. Hammond decides to stand and escape the position. Carroll throws a leg kick that is checked and Hammond moves into the clinch. A frustrated look appears on Carroll's face as he tries to break the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hammond tries to pull guard but Carroll holds him up against the cage and eventually Hammond drops back down to his feet.
Come on Hammond - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Hammond is looking to take this one to the mat. Hammond jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Carroll walks away with a smile on his face. Hammond gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fermin Hammond. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hammond takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
It looks like Fermin Hammond has been cut. Hammond shoots for a takedown but Carroll saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Carroll throws a left and a right that both miss
and Hammond counters by moving into the clinch. Hammond tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Carroll smiles and moves away.
Carroll tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carroll scores with a jab to the body. Carroll tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Carroll uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hammond has time to react. Carroll throws a looping overhand right but Hammond ducks down to avoid it. Carroll swings for the body but Hammond moves out of range.
Hammond looks for a takedown but Carroll sprawls well. Carroll finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Carroll ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hammond moves away. The crowd cheers as Carroll lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hammond doesn't seem phased though.
Hammond is rocked! Hammond loses concentration momentarily and Carroll pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Hammond crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Carroll finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Andy Carroll!
