Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Michal Nojman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Frederick! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, William Gold and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Frederick takes a kick to the side of the head. Nojman tries to keep at a distance but Frederick has taken the fight into the clinch. Frederick gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Nojman regains guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Nojman is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Nojman controls Frederick momentarily but Frederick frees himself. Frederick trying to control but Nojman is working from the bottom. Frederick postures up and lands a big shot to Nojman's brow. Frederick pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Nojman is keeping the position for now. Frederick lands a couple of elbows.
That's one minute gone in the round. Frederick is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Paul Frederick hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Frederick misses with a two punch combination.
Nojman tries to clinch there but Frederick circles away.

Nojman takes the fight into the clinch. Nojman escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Frederick looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Nojman! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Frederick tries for a kimura but Nojman is defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nojman is looking for a sweep. Frederick avoids the strikes from the bottom by Nojman. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Frederick trying to control the position but Nojman is working away. You can see the frustration on Nojman's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Nojman wants to get back to his feet but Frederick drags him back down. Frederick tries to move into full mount but can't pass Nojman's legs. Nojman tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Nojman is trying to control Frederick's posture but Frederick avoids it. Frederick trying to control the position but Nojman is working away. Frederick scoring with punches from side control. Nojman is not content to let Frederick control the position. Frederick throwing strikes but Nojman manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Frederick misses with an elbow from the bottom. We've been informed that Frederick has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Frederick stops Nojman from passing to mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. An elbow from Nojman crashes against the mat.
Frederick is looking for a sweep. Nojman stands up. Nojman throws a shot to the body.
Frederick instigates a clinch. Frederick lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action! Nojman wants to control but Frederick is keeping busy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Frederick is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Nojman defends it well. Nojman keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Frederick dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Nojman gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Nojman throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Frederick must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Nojman looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Frederick trying to control the position from guard on top but Nojman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Nojman is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Frederick engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Paul Frederick. Nojman drives through with a takedown into guard.

Paul Frederick has got the better of the ground game so far. Nojman trying to control the position from guard on top but Frederick is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Frederick is trying to control the position but Nojman postures up. Nojman controls the pace of the fight for a moment. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Frederick avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Frederick looking for a sweep. Not yet Frederick, not yet. Nojman throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Frederick looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Nojman is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Frederick keeping moving, preventing Nojman from controlling successfully.

Frederick might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Nojman haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Frederick is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Nojman sitting in guard here, content to control.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Nojman shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Frederick's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nojman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Frederick swivels though and keeps the full guard. Frederick is trying to keep Nojman in close.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Frederick holds on and takes a little breather. Nojman postures up.

Nojman throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Michal Nojman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Frederick gets a clinch. Frederick wants the takedown. Nojman is fighting it off but Frederick persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Nojman's guard against the cage. Frederick makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Nojman has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Frederick is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Frederick tightens his grip and picks Nojman up, before dumping him to the ground. Nojman manages to land in guard. Frederick working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Nojman's head. Nojman not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Nojman keeping moving, preventing Frederick from controlling successfully. Frederick in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Nojman kicks Frederick off and gets to his feet. Frederick has closed the distance and engaged Nojman in a clinch.
Frederick has Nojman pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Frederick pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Nojman tumbling to the mat - Frederick dives into Nojman's guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Nojman is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Frederick is controlling him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Frederick showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Frederick closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Nojman quickly recovers to half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Frederick prevents Nojman from standing back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Frederick missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Nojman tries to roll over but Frederick keeps him under control. Frederick performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Nojman strikes from the bottom but Frederick passes into mount!
Nojman sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Nojman is trying to stand up here but Frederick is controlling him well. Frederick controlling the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Frederick is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Nojman is refusing to be controlled, as Frederick sits in half guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nojman drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Frederick gets the underhooks and prevents it.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Nojman.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Paul Frederick. I've got Frederick winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
