Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Darrell Watts!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ronuel John Natividad!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shirou Masuda and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watts throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Natividad.

Watts tries to keep at a distance but Natividad has taken the fight into the clinch.
Come on Natividad - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Natividad decides to pull guard.
Natividad pulls Watts in close to prevent any damage.
Watts is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Watts won't allow Natividad to get back to his feet.
Watts stopping the sweep attempt from Natividad.
Natividad keeping full guard, as Watts tries to pass.

Watts decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Watts slaps away a takedown attempt from Natividad, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Watts is trying hard to land a takedown here. Natividad sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Watts is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Natividad to keep the fight standing.

Watts tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Natividad just stands there and leans against the cage.
Watts jumps guard but Natividad turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Watts is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Natividad pulls him back up using the underhooks.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Natividad is defended easily by Watts.

Natividad tries to close the distance and clinch up but Watts swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Natividad fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Watts stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Watts will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Natividad is defended easily by Watts.
Natividad shoots for a double leg takedown but Watts sprawls well. He's pushed Natividad's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Horrible takedown by Watts or perhaps it was just good defense by Natividad which made him look bad.

and Watts makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Natividad really felt that one!

That was a close round but I would say that Darrell Watts will probably get the nod.

Natividad stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Watts swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Watts controls Natividad momentarily but Natividad frees himself.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Natividad working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

Watts is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Watts will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Natividad lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Natividad drops back looking for a leg! Watts is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Watts manages to kick Natividad off! Natividad jumps back into Watts's guard.
Natividad wants to control from the top but Watts keeps moving.

Natividad wants to stand but Watts is controlling his posture from full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Watts is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Natividad passes into half guard.

Natividad is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Watts manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Natividad closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Natividad is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Watts's shoulder. That is not cool.
Watts really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Watts isn't going anywhere.

Natividad swings around for an armbar but Watts sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Natividad's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ronuel John Natividad showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

The fight stays on the outside here - Watts looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Natividad counters with a nice body kick.

Watts fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Natividad shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Watts defends it nicely.

Watts buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Horrible takedown by Watts or perhaps it was just good defense by Natividad which made him look bad.

Natividad bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Natividad is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Watts is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Watts wants to control but Natividad postures up.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Darrell Watts.
I think Watts has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
