Reynolds closes the distance but Ishii moves to the side
and Ishii counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Ishii trying to pass the guard but Reynolds defending well.
Ishii throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Ishii takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Reynolds could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Ishii decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Reynolds's guard.
Reynolds wants to stand but Ishii is controlling the position.
Satoshi Ishii has got the better of the ground game so far.

Ishii not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Ishii has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Reynolds wants to stand up but Ishii is controlling him.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ishii accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
