Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tracy Ball (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tracy Ball! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Greg Davis! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ball looks for a takedown but Davis sprawls well. Davis looking to score a takedown here. Ball is defending well but Davis drives through and ends up in Ball's guard. Davis trying to control the position from guard on top but Ball is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Davis controls from within his opponent's guard. Davis pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ball is keeping the position for now. Ball is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Davis trying to control the position from guard on top but Ball is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Greg Davis hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Ball jabs Davis right on the nose. Davis blinks but takes it well. Ball gets caught napping as Davis dives in and scores a takedown. Ball manages to retain guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davis trying to control the position from guard on top but Ball is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Davis showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Davis stands and steps away. Ball gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Davis shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Ball really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Davis controlling from the top position. It looks like Davis might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Davis wants to control from the top but Ball keeps moving. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Ball will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Greg Davis. Ball will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Davis gets a double leg takedown into Ball's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Davis wants to control from the top but Ball keeps moving. Ball has a closed guard, preventing Davis from standing up. Davis content to stall in guard here. Ball working a defensive guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ball is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Davis fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ball avoids it really well and circles away. Ball closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Davis's guard. Ball wants to control from the top but Davis keeps moving. Ball looking to sit in guard and control but Davis gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Ball being controlled here, momentarily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ball is looking for a triangle but Davis pushes his legs off easily.
Ball looking to hit a scissor sweep but Davis is one step ahead there. Davis looking to pass the guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Davis is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Greg Davis dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Nice sprawl there from Ball as Davis shoots in. Davis looks for a takedown but Ball sprawls well. Ball lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Ball keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Tracy Ball has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Greg Davis. Davis closes the distance and clinches up with Ball, looking for a takedown. Davis pushes Ball against the cage but Ball circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Ball ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Horrible takedown by Ball or perhaps it was just good defense by Davis which made him look bad. A momentary lapse in concentration from Ball enables Davis to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Ball manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Ball has control of Davis's left arm, preventing Davis from doing any damage. Ball manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Davis is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ball has hold of Davis's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Davis manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Ball thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Ball controlling the pace for now. Ball thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ball looking to ground and pound but Davis is blocking nicely. Davis keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Ball thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Davis is trying desperately to improve position. Ball looking to finish with strikes here!

Davis has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Ball is on him like a limpet, forcing Davis back against the cage. Ball pulls guard. Davis wants to pass the guard but Ball is keeping the position. Davis keeps trying to improve his position. Ball pushes Davis off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Ball tries to clinch but Davis is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Davis tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ball swats him away and circles back towards the center. Davis tries to clinch but Ball moves out of range. Ball has managed to clinch.
Davis goes for a takedown attempt but Ball pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Ball keeping moving, preventing Davis from controlling successfully. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ball had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Davis defends it easily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ball keeping moving, preventing Davis from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tracy Ball dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Ball closes the distance and clinches. Ball's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Davis closes the distance and clinches. Davis has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Ball avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Davis is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Ball pulls him back up using the underhooks. Ball looking for a takedown. Davis is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Ball gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Tracy Ball has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Greg Davis. A battle for position here, against the cage. Davis looking for a takedown. Davis goes for a takedown attempt but Ball pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Davis takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Ball tries to clinch but Davis is having none of it. Tracy Ball is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davis gets a takedown into half guard. Ball tries to roll over but Davis keeps him under control. Davis is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Ball reverses the position - he's now on top in Davis's guard. Ball trying to control but Davis is working from the bottom. Ball throws a big right hand that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ball controlling from the top position. Davis keeping moving, preventing Ball from controlling successfully. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Tracy Ball. Davis keeps the fight on the outside. Davis dives in and grabs Ball's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ball pushes down on Davis's head and hops out. Ball gets a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ball has Davis pressed against the cage, preventing Davis from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Ball jumps guard but Davis turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Ball breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Ball, right into the meat.
Ball changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Davis tries to avoid it but Ball manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Davis to the ground. Davis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Davis takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Ball tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Davis paws at him with a jab and circles away. Ball goes for a double leg but Davis avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Davis continues to drive forward. Ball trying to control the position but instead, Davis has worked for underhooks and has pushed Ball into the cage. Ball changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Davis fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Davis shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ball pinned against the cage. Ball gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ball is defended easily by Davis. Ball tries to clinch up but Davis circles away and keeps his distance. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ball shoots in for a takedown but Davis shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Davis fails to land the takedown. Ball fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
And that's the end of the fight! Tracy Ball showed his dominance in that final round. I think Ball has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
