Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Pickett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Valdis Brauns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brauns is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Remember My name. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Johnny Pickett! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Valdis Brauns! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Tarja Halkonen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pickett changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Brauns tries to avoid it but Pickett manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Brauns to the ground. Brauns escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Brauns shoots for a takedown but Pickett saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Brauns fails with an attempt to clinch.
Pickett fails with a takedown attempt. Brauns tries to clinch up. Brauns shoots in for a takedown but Pickett shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Nice sprawl there from Brauns as Pickett shoots in. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnny Pickett. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pickett shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Brauns defends it nicely. Brauns darts in and clinches Pickett up against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brauns prevents a takedown attempt there.

Brauns manages to break the clinch.
Pickett throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Brauns. Pickett really is a fat lump. Brauns looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Pickett displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Brauns. Brauns tries to clinch up. Brauns with a lazy takedown attempt and Pickett counters with a big head kick but Brauns shrugs it off. Brauns with a poor takedown and Pickett counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Brauns has hold of one of Pickett's legs. Pickett is fighting the takedown attempt but Brauns gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brauns trying to control but Pickett is working from the bottom. Pickett trying to strike off his back.
Brauns stopping the sweep attempt from Pickett. Pickett is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Brauns is aware though and is defending well. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Brauns pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pickett is keeping the position for now. Brauns really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pickett. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Valdis Brauns was stalling too much, according to the referee. Brauns tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pickett swats him away and circles back towards the center. Pickett shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Brauns but Brauns pushes him off and we're back to square one. Brauns has closed the distance and engaged Pickett in a clinch.
Brauns gets underhooks to prevent Pickett's takedown attempt.
Brauns has Pickett pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Pickett manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pickett tries for a takedown but Brauns manages to get underhooks.
Pickett is breathing heavily. Brauns's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Brauns lands a leg kick that knocks Pickett off balance momentarily. Brauns fails with a takedown attempt. Pickett throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Brauns. Brauns darts in looking for a takedown but Pickett gets double underhooks and turns Brauns into the cage. Brauns breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Brauns tries to clinch up. Brauns doesn't manage to clinch there - Pickett circles away.
Pickett moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Valdis Brauns dominated that round. That's time! Pickett's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Brauns shoots for a takedown but Pickett saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Brauns tries to clinch up. Pickett ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Brauns moves away. Brauns misses with a head kick.
Brauns misses with a takedown attempt - Pickett sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Pickett throws a head kick that misses. Brauns shoots in looking for a takedown. Pickett tries to sprawl out of it but Brauns keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pickett manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Johnny Pickett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Valdis Brauns. Brauns misses with a few strikes there.
Brauns is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pickett changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Brauns looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Pickett lands a few punches from side control. Pickett fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Pickett tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Pickett looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brauns is trying to strike from the bottom but Pickett has passed into full mount. Pickett is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Brauns has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brauns tries to hold on but Pickett postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brauns manages to control the position for a moment. Pickett lands a big shot there that rocks Brauns but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Brauns is wriggling around trying to escape.
Brauns is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Pickett locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Brauns is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Johnny Pickett! In defeat, Valdis Brauns stepped up to the mic, saying 'Did my best for win!'.
