Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ricardo throws a right and a left that both miss.
Ricardo throws a lazy uppercut
and Hennard counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Ricardo actively working from the bottom here.
Hennard prevents Ricardo from improving his position.
Hennard trying to mount his opponent but Ricardo defends it.
Hennard is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Hennard is working for a submission of some sort.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Ricardo is looking for a sweep. Hennard is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Ricardo is not content to let Hennard control the position.

Hennard looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ricardo won't allow Hennard to pass to mount.
Hennard is looking for a kimura but Ricardo is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hennard to get the leverage.
Ricardo is not content to let Hennard control the position.
Hennard prevents Ricardo from improving his position.
Hennard is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hennard is taking a breather. Ricardo says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Ricardo regains full guard. Nicely done.

Ricardo can't keep his opponent in guard - Hennard advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Ricardo is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hennard's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hennard's back!
Ricardo looking to break Hennard's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Hennard remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Ricardo will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Ricardo is working for a rear naked choke. Hennard is not defending it well and Ricardo has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Hennard refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Hennard's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
