Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wanderlei Rapide (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vandersom Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rapide fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Silva, pushing him back against the cage.
Silva is working for takedown but Rapide is calmly controlling the position for now.
Silva tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Rapide just stands there and leans against the cage.
Rapide taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Rapide is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Silva can't fight it off and eventually Rapide manages to take the fight to the floor. Silva looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Silva looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Silva is working an open guard so Rapide takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Rapide looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Rapide changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Silva looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Silva tries to close the distance and clinch but Rapide swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Rapide decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rapide stands up and beckons Silva to join him on the feet.
Rapide forces Silva back against the cage and clinches.
Rapide manages to break the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Rapide shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Silva's guard.
