Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nicholas De La Torre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Clawnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clawnes has chosen My name is MUD as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nicholas De La Torre!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thomas Clawnes!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

That was a close round but I would say that Nicholas De La Torre will probably get the nod.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting De La Torre here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Clawnes has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics De La Torre uses from the top position.

Clawnes working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. De La Torre doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. De La Torre manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Clawnes bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in De La Torre's guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Nicholas De La Torre.
I think De La Torre has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
