Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kesigan St Pierre!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

St Pierre fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Selson sprawls well initially but St Pierre persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
St Pierre scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

St Pierre looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Selson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

St Pierre fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Selson, pushing him back against the cage.
Selson tries to pull guard but St Pierre holds him up against the cage and eventually Selson drops back down to his feet.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as St Pierre takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Selson blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

St Pierre turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Selson is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kesigan St Pierre dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


No luck for Selson with that takedown attempt.

St Pierre had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Selson defends it easily.

Selson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. St Pierre knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The referee asks Selson politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Selson prefers to stall for the moment though.

St Pierre manages to work his way to half guard, despite Selson's best efforts.
St Pierre is trying to control but can't.
St Pierre is staying active underneath Selson, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
St Pierre is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Selson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Selson's back!

St Pierre is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Selson has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

St Pierre got a little sloppy there for a moment and Selson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, St Pierre has managed to get both his arms back between Selson's legs - danger averted.
