With a record of 30 - 25 - 1, fighting out of London, Thomas Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Paul Tew and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matae fails to land with a series of punches.
Matae lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Matae leaves Johnson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

It looks like Thomas Johnson has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Matae closes the distance and clinches up with Johnson, looking for a takedown. Matae pushes Johnson against the cage but Johnson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Johnson shoots in for a double leg but Matae sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Matae drops Johnson onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Johnson is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!


Johnson is rocked!
Matae unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Johnson! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Matae is unloading with more strikes now! Johnson drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yokida Matae!
A less than humble Yokida Matae misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
