And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chekhov walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Kono checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Kono walks into a jab.
Chekhov misses with a leg kick
and Kono counters with a nice uppercut.
Chekhov smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Chekhov throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Chekhov tries a low kick but Kono avoids it.
Chekhov looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A slapping leg kick lands for Chekhov.
Kono lands with a nice body punch.
Chekhov tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Chekhov will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
We've been informed that Kono has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Chekhov avoids the body shot from Kono.
Kono slips a straight right by Chekhov.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kono throws out a loose jab but Chekhov uses good head movement to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Chekhov misses with a hook to the body
and Chekhov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Nice body kick from Chekhov.
Chekhov listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Kono is rocked!
Chekhov throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Kono is still on wobbly legs! Can Chekhov finish him?
Chekhov has Kono up against the cage in a clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Still in the clinch, Chekhov scores with a nice short uppercut.
Chekhov creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Kono's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Kono drops to his knees and Chekhov pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Anton Chekhov!
