The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A low kick from Hosholt misses
and Vlimmeren counters with a one-two to the body.
Hosholt looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Vlimmeren looks for a takedown but Hosholt sprawls well.
Hosholt should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Vlimmeren shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hosholt but Hosholt pushes him off and we're back to square one.

It looks like Dereck Hosholt has been cut.

Hosholt is trying to drag Vlimmeren to the mat but Vlimmeren just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Vlimmeren lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Vlimmeren.

Hosholt shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Hosholt is pressing down on Vlimmeren's thigh, looking to free his foot. Vlimmeren is holding on for now.
