Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Jefferson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Druff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Druff is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Mother *uckers. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeff Jefferson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dan Druff! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jefferson takes a swing at Druff's ribcage but misses. Jefferson lands a slapping body shot.
Jefferson lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Jefferson scores with a hook. Dan Druff seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Druff tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Jefferson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Druff tries to clinch up but Jefferson circles away and keeps his distance. Druff tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jefferson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Druff somewhat. Druff is looking to clinch but Jefferson is avoiding it.
Druff lands with an uppercut that bounces Jefferson off the cage and back into range. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jefferson avoids the body shot from Druff.
Jefferson looks to score with a jab to the body but Druff is just out of range. Horrible takedown by Druff or perhaps it was just good defense by Jefferson which made him look bad. Jefferson circles away from the clinch attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round. Donk. Druff catches Jefferson right on the button with a cross. Druff takes the fight into the clinch. Druff tries to throw a body punch but Jefferson avoids it by throwing Druff back against the cage. Jefferson lands a hook to the side of the head. Jefferson working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Druff lands with a short shot to the head. A short right from Druff on the inside. Jefferson misses with the head strike.
Druff misses with a short punch on the inside. Jefferson prevents a body shot from Druff. Druff decides to pull guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Druff has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Jefferson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Druff. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Druff is trying to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jefferson decides to stand up, so the ref orders Druff to his feet. Druff shoots in for a takedown but Jefferson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Jeff Jefferson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Druff. Jefferson throws a looping overhand right but Druff ducks down to avoid it. Druff doesn't manage to clinch there - Jefferson circles away.

and Jefferson counters with a right hand to the body. Jefferson lands an overhand right. Druff walks into a left hand. Druff staying out of range there. Druff decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Druff prevents Jefferson from standing back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Druff seems to be working for a kimura but Jefferson defends the submission attempt. Druff is trying to work for a kimura but Jefferson is defending well.
