The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shackleton gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Shackleton definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Shackleton jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Tyler shoots and misses
and Shackleton counters with a nice double leg into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Shackleton seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Tyler for as long as he can get away with.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tyler is defended easily by Shackleton.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Shackleton working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Well, if Shackleton is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Shackleton is nestled in close to Tyler, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Shackleton looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Tyler with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Tyler's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Shackleton postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Tyler looks a forlorn figure.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
