Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Henry Hogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dereck Hosholt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Henry Hogan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dereck Hosholt! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Jonathan Paton and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hosholt shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Hosholt slows the pace down in half guard. Hogan pushes Hosholt off looking to stand but Hosholt dives back in and keeps control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hogan wants to control but Hosholt is keeping busy and won't allow it. Hogan wants to sweep but Hosholt has passed to side control! Hosholt is looking to take a break and control but Hogan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Hogan wants to control but Hosholt postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hosholt controlling from side mount. Hogan wants to control but Hosholt postures up. Hogan is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Hosholt looks winded! Hogan moves into full guard.
Hogan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hosholt on the ground. Hosholt trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Hogan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hogan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hosholt doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hosholt manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Hogan looking to control.
Hosholt trying to control but Hogan is working from the bottom. Hogan is looking to stand up but Hosholt isn't so interested in that idea.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Hosholt wants to pass the guard but Hogan is keeping the position. Hogan is trying to control the position but Hosholt postures up.
We're going to have a standup here because Henry Hogan wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Hogan misses with a low kick as Hosholt jumps back. Henry Hogan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hogan gets in close and instigates a clinch. Hogan turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Hogan manages to end up in side control. Hogan taking a breather here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hogan looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Hogan misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Hosholt should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Hogan trying to control the action but Hosholt is working from the bottom. Hosholt is letting Hogan control him for a moment. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hogan landing strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Henry Hogan dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Hogan misses with a takedown attempt and Hosholt counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Hosholt has eaten all the pies! Hogan is staying active underneath Hosholt, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Hogan wants to get back to his feet. Hosholt wants to pass the guard but Hogan is defending well. Hogan looks like he's trying to stand up.
Hosholt is keen to just control but Hogan is a slippery customer. Hosholt is breathing heavily. Hogan is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Dereck Hosholt was stalling too much, according to the referee. Hogan closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hosholt did well to prevent Hogan getting side control. Hosholt is staying active underneath Hogan, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Hogan with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Hosholt is trying to control but can't.
We've been hearing that Hogan has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Hogan throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Hogan is thwarting Hosholt's attempts to control the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Hosholt moves in looking to clinch but Hogan pushes him off. Hogan misses with a wild combination.
Hosholt shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hogan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hosholt is working away from the top position though. Hogan is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Hogan actively working from the bottom here.

Hosholt prevents Hogan from standing back up.
Hogan controlling the position for now. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Hogan is refusing to be controlled, as Hosholt sits in half guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Hosholt blocks the body kick.
Hogan throws a good cross that connects.
It looks like Dereck Hosholt has been cut. Hogan with a body punch. A glancing blow. Hogan lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Hogan closes the distance and lands a one-two. This has been an exciting period of action! Hogan shoots in for a takedown but Hosholt shows good takedown defense. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hogan looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Hosholt being controlled here, momentarily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Henry Hogan dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Dereck Hosholt's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Hogan shoots in and bounces Hosholt off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Hosholt trying to control the position.
Hogan wants to stand but Hosholt has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Hogan trying to control but Hosholt is working from the bottom. Hosholt takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Hogan avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hogan wants to control from the top but Hosholt keeps moving. Hogan controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
We're going to have a standup here because Henry Hogan wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Hogan drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Hogan is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Hogan is looking to stand up but Hosholt won't let him. Hogan makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Hogan postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Hogan's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The ref stands the fighters back up. Henry Hogan wasn't doing enough on the ground. Hogan clinches up against the cage. Hogan avoiding damage.
Hogan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hogan doesn't manage to clinch there - Hosholt circles away.
Hogan closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hosholt circles away. No luck with that takedown attempt from Hogan. Hosholt swinging wildly here.
We've been informed that Hosholt has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Hosholt fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Hogan avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hogan tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hosholt swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Henry Hogan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hogan lands with a nice body punch. Hogan misses with a body kick. Hogan closes the distance and clinches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hogan has Hosholt pushed against the cage. Hogan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Hogan jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Hogan drives through and clinches with Hosholt against the cage.
Hosholt blocks a body shot from Hogan. Hosholt is trying to stall.
Hogan pulls guard effortlessly. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hogan keeping moving, preventing Hosholt from controlling successfully. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hosholt pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hogan is keeping the position for now.
And that's the end of the fight! Henry Hogan showed his dominance in that final round. Well Hogan has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
