Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 23 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Ryan Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mickeal Growling!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and Elvis Blanc.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Growling looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Growling throws an off balance right hand

and Gracie counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Gracie pushing down on Growling's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Growling wants to get back to his feet.

Gracie is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Growling defends it well.
Gracie throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Gracie winds up and cracks Growling with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gracie lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Growling has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
Gracie has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Gracie is looking to advance position but Growling won't allow it.
Gracie works his way into full mount!
Gracie is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Growling can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Gracie trying to control but Growling is having none of it.
Gracie landing strikes from the mount and Growling is in trouble!

Gracie controlling his opponent.
Gracie pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Gracie won't let Growling get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Gracie has hold of Growling's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Growling manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gracie in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
You get the feeling that Growling really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Gracie with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Gracie throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Growling has his hands clasped together but Gracie breaks the hold and Growling is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Gracie!

Ryan Gracie decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
