Blackburn's entrance music is Filth Friends Unite. A fine choice. Fairs has chosen eye of the tiger as his entrance music. Rason Fairs has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brent Blackburn! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rason Fairs! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Bruno Lombardi and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blackburn stuns Fairs with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Blackburn misses with a hook
and Fairs counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Blackburn's guard now. Fairs won't allow Blackburn to sweep him here. Blackburn is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Fairs defends well. Fairs throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Blackburn works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Fairs content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Blackburn is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Fairs is looking for a kimura but Blackburn is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Fairs to get the leverage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blackburn is looking for a sweep. Fairs is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Fairs is just content to waste time from the top position. Blackburn takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Fairs working some strikes from top position. Blackburn wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Fairs is now in half guard. Blackburn is trying to get back to full guard. Blackburn is looking to escape. Blackburn works his way to full guard. Good work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fairs slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Blackburn controls Fairs momentarily but Fairs frees himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blackburn wants to sweep here but Fairs controlling him for the moment. Blackburn is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Brent Blackburn just wasn't active enough. Blackburn misses with a hook
and Fairs counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Fairs walks into a jab.
It looks like Rason Fairs has been cut. Fairs takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Blackburn is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. Blackburn throws a poor cross that misses
and Fairs counters with a two punch combo. Fairs fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Blackburn sprawls well initially but Fairs persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Fairs lands with a punch from half guard. Fairs is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The fighters are battling for position here. Blackburn manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Fairs lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Blackburn looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Fairs throws a big right hand that misses. Blackburn wants to stand up but Fairs is controlling him. Fairs with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fairs wants to control from the top but Blackburn keeps moving. Blackburn looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Fairs trying to control the position from guard on top but Blackburn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Fairs is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Rason Fairs has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Fairs on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Fairs closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Blackburn's guard. Fairs working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Blackburn manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Fairs manages to get himself to full guard.
Fairs has his foot on Blackburn's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Blackburn works his way back into a safe position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Rason Fairs will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Rason Fairs's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
Fairs slips a straight right by Blackburn. Blackburn lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Blackburn misses with a lunging right hand
and Fairs counters with a lovely shot to the body. Blackburn cracks Fairs with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Blackburn has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Fairs to stand back up!
Fairs is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Blackburn lands an uppercut, right on the button! Fairs tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Brent Blackburn! Brent Blackburn retains his heavyweight title! Brent Blackburn decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well. Rason Fairs spoke after the fight, saying 'Ill be back better than ever and i should have trained harder!I want to thank everyone for supporting me!'.
