Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kenton Hewitt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyrell James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kenton Hewitt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tyrell James! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James darts in and clinches Hewitt up against the cage. Hewitt breaks from the clinch.
James drives through and clinches with Hewitt against the cage.
Hewitt has dropped down and is working for a takedown. James is trying to keep an underhook but Hewitt manages to get the takedown into half guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Hewitt throwing shots but James is blocking nicely. James controlling the position for now. James should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Hewitt seems to be working for a kimura but James defends the submission attempt. James manages to escape and get back to his feet! James closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Hewitt pulls guard successfully.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. James in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. James is fighting to break Hewitt's control of his arms but Hewitt is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Hewitt really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hewitt is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. James wants to pass the guard but Hewitt is keeping the position. James sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Tyrell James was stalling too much, according to the referee. Hewitt tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. James manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. James fails to land with a series of punches.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Hewitt jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as James walks away with a smile on his face. Hewitt gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Hewitt has a takedown stuffed. Hewitt tries to keep at a distance but James has taken the fight into the clinch. James jumps into guard, dragging Hewitt to the mat.
James wants to get back to his feet but Hewitt is in a dominant position and won't allow it. James is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. James wants to get back to his feet but Hewitt is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

James gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Nice takedown defense from James. No joy for Hewitt on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kenton Hewitt. That's going to take a lot out of him. James fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Hewitt fails in his attempt to clinch. James fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hewitt manages to avoid it. James shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hewitt defends it nicely. Tyrell James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. James tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. James looks winded!
That's four minutes gone in the round. James shoots for a takedown but Hewitt saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Hewitt throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around James's waist but James gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hewitt off to one side. James scores to the head and body with a nice combination! James fails to land the takedown. Hewitt shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. James defends it nicely. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. James swats away the attempt to clinch by Hewitt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hewitt tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but James paws at him with a jab and circles away. Hewitt blocks a head kick by James.

James lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. James fails with the takedown and Hewitt counters into the clinch. Nicely done. James escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hewitt tries to close the distance and clinch but James swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. James fails to land the takedown. James moves into range and clinches up with Hewitt.

Hewitt closes the distance and clinches up with James, looking for a takedown. Hewitt pushes James against the cage but James circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. James fails to land the takedown. James is breathing heavily. James fails miserably with a takedown attempt. James throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hewitt tries to clinch but fails miserably and James counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by James. Hewitt jumps guard.
James throws a big elbow that misses. Hewitt is trying to control the position but James postures up. Hewitt will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Hewitt has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but James can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Hewitt wants to sweep here but James controlling him for the moment. Hewitt throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
That's three minutes gone in the round. James is fighting to break Hewitt's control of his arms but Hewitt is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Hewitt not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
James got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hewitt has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, James has managed to get both his arms back between Hewitt's legs - danger averted. Hewitt is trying to control the position but James postures up. James is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Hewitt controls James momentarily but James frees himself. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. James throws a quick inside leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. James shoots in and drives through. Hewitt sprawls well. Hewitt uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from James. James swats away the attempt to clinch by Hewitt. Hewitt avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hewitt fails with the takedown. James pushes Hewitt up against the cage in a clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Tyrell James will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

James closes the distance and pushes Hewitt back into the cage. Hewitt is trying to drag James to the mat but James just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Hewitt goes for a takedown in the clinch but James prevents it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. James is struggling to control the position. Hewitt has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics James uses from the top position. James trying to control the position from guard on top but Hewitt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from James! James trying to control the action but Hewitt is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hewitt is looking to reverse the position. James has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Tyrell James seems to be getting the better of the standup. James misses with a two punch combination.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hewitt fails in his attempt to clinch. Hewitt closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Kenton Hewitt has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Tyrell James is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Hewitt struggles to land a body shot inside as James controls his hands.
And that's the end of the fight! Tyrell James comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got James winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
