Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Merle Walker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Arab Nation!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Phil Schofield and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker shoots in looking for a takedown but Nation manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Walker's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Nation moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Nation keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Walker looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Merle Walker. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A left lands for Nation.
Nation throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Walker shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nation as he avoids it easily.
Nation throws a front kick that sends Walker stumbling back into the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Walker throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Nation sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Nation.
Walker is breathing heavily.
A head kick by Nation - that's a beauty! Walker is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Nation can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Arab Nation!
