Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Richard Sherman!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Peter Branson and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva misses with a two punch combination.
Silva displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sherman.
Silva throws a right hand that Sherman ducks under and follows up with a left that Sherman also avoids with ease.
Sherman moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
It looks like Richard Sherman has been cut.
Silva works Sherman's body with a nice hook.
Sherman darts in looking for a takedown but Silva gets double underhooks and turns Sherman into the cage.
Sherman tries to pull guard but Silva won't allow it.
Wanderlei Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard Sherman.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sherman tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Silva smiles and moves away.
Silva stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Silva wants it to stay on the feet.
Sherman looks winded!
Silva scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Silva has cracked Sherman with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Silva lands another huge swinging hook and Sherman tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Sherman, before Silva can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Wanderlei Silva!
