Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dudley Fysecks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Swanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matt Swanson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

1 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Matt Swanson! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Damien Edna and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fysecks looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Swanson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Swanson throws a sloppy head kick and Fysecks makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. A combination from Swanson does no damage. Fysecks fails with a takedown attempt. Swanson shoots in for a takedown but Fysecks shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Fysecks gets in close and instigates a clinch. Fysecks is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Swanson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. A left hand lands to the body for Fysecks.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Fysecks displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Swanson. Matt Swanson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fysecks shoots in looking for a takedown but Swanson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fysecks's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Fysecks shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Swanson goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Fysecks rushes Swanson and presses him up against the cage. Fysecks breaks from the clinch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Swanson throws a sloppy head kick and Fysecks counters with a one-two to the body. A head kick by Swanson misses and Fysecks counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Fysecks moves into the clinch. Fysecks sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Fysecks throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Swanson's waist but Swanson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fysecks off to one side. Fysecks closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Swanson's guard. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Fysecks slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Swanson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fysecks. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Swanson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Fysecks is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Swanson is trying to break the clinch but Fysecks is controlling him. Fysecks lands a body shot. Swanson tries to circle away but Fysecks has him pinned against the cage. Fysecks breaks the clinch.

Swanson is fighting off a takedown attempt but Fysecks is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Swanson to the mat. Swanson regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Swanson throws a lazy head kick enabling Fysecks to counter with a crisp jab. Fysecks closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Swanson to the mat! Swanson manages to get full guard. Fysecks is stalling in the full guard. Matt Swanson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Dudley Fysecks has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Swanson misses with a kick to the body and Fysecks counters with a good, hard body kick but Swanson shrugs it off. Fysecks clinches with his opponent.

Fysecks decides to pull guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Fysecks kicks Swanson off and gets to his feet. Fysecks thows a body shot but no joy. Swanson throws a head kick but Fysecks moves out of range.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Fysecks swats away the attempt to clinch by Swanson. Swanson lands a two punch combo.
And that's the end of the fight! Dudley Fysecks showed his dominance in that final round. Well Fysecks has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
