Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Homer Cox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mountain Rivera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Homer Cox! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 46 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mountain Rivera! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rivera gets a takedown into half guard. Cox is breathing heavily. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Cox keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Cox blocking the ground and pound attempt from Rivera. Rivera not landing any meaningful shots this time. Rivera slips a nice elbow through Cox's hands, connecting with Cox's forehead. Rivera with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. That's one minute gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Rivera in particular looking to stall.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Mountain Rivera wasn't active enough on the ground. Rivera closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Cox did well to prevent Rivera getting side control. Rivera is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Cox sees it coming and defends easily. Rivera is controlling the pace.
Rivera is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rivera is nestled in close to Cox, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Rivera throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Rivera wants to free his trapped foot but Cox is holding on for dear life with his legs. Rivera looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rivera is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rivera passes the guard and advances to mount! Rivera scoring with strikes but Cox is staying in there. Rivera with the ground and pound from mount. Cox really is a fat lump. Rivera controlling the position easily from mount. Rivera cracks Cox with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Cox is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Rivera is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Cox goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Rivera!
