Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Robert E Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Hyde (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Lee might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to American Trilogy. Robert E Lee could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Dan Hyde's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee stuffs the takedown.

Lee drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Hyde trying to keep a closed guard but Lee is proving a slippery customer.

Hyde is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Lee postures up and lands a big shot to Hyde's brow.

Lee has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Hyde is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Lee is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Hyde has managed to free his arm - good work.

Lee is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hyde defends it well.
Lee thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Hyde to regain full guard.
Hyde is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Hyde looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Lee pushes Hyde off looking to stand but Hyde dives back in and keeps control.
Lee gets back to full guard.

Lee has his foot on Hyde's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hyde works his way back into a safe position though.

Lee has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hyde can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Hyde drops back looking for a leg! Lee is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lee manages to kick Hyde off! Hyde jumps back into Lee's guard.
Hyde must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Lee escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hyde gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hyde lands a couple of digs.
Hyde won't allow Lee to sweep him here.
Hyde pushes down on Lee's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Lee is refusing to be controlled, as Hyde sits in half guard.
Hyde is thwarting Lee's attempts to control the position.
Lee is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hyde is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Hyde closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Lee manages to get back to half guard.

Lee working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hyde doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hyde manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Hyde has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Lee celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
