PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sneaky Bastard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Blaze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blaze is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Dropkick Murphys-The Warriors Code. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sneaky Bastard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blaze showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Bastard.
Bastard misses with a jab, cross combination.
Bastard throws a lazy right hand but Blaze sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Bastard throws a big shot that misses.
Blaze shoots in but no luck this time.
Blaze doesn't manage to clinch there - Bastard circles away.
Blaze changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bastard tries to avoid it but Blaze manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bastard to the ground. Bastard escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Blaze chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Bastard can pounce on him.

Blaze won't allow Bastard to sweep him here.

Blaze thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Blaze lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Blaze cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Bastard is in a horrible position here. Blaze smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Bastard takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bastard really wants to buck Blaze off and get back to his feet.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bastard stuffs the takedown.
Bastard throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Blaze.

Blaze moves into the clinch successfully.

Bastard doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Blaze takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Bastard swings wildly with an uppercut but Blaze uses good head movement to avoid it.
Bastard is trying to maintain a safe position but Blaze gets an underhook and turns Bastard into the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Blaze thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bastard has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Blaze to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Bastard is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Blaze pulls down on the head and he's put Bastard to sleep! This one is all over!
