Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between High Sodium (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Skinner Crowe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crowe is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Angry Johnny & The Killbillies - A Love More True. Skinner Crowe has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, High Sodium! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Skinner Crowe! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sodium lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Sodium takes a body punch but keeps moving. Sodium throws a low kick but it's checked well by Crowe. Sodium moves out of range of the leg kick from Crowe. Sodium is looking to clinch. Sodium fails in his attempt to clinch. Sodium misses the shot to the body. Sodium scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Crowe moves out of range of the body kick. Sodium throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Crowe tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Sodium is in Crowe's guard. Sodium is in close to Crowe's body, working some short punches and elbows. Sodium stands and throws Crowe's legs to the side, diving into side control. Crowe tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Sodium wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Crowe parries the strikes from Sodium easily there. Sodium is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Crowe to escape.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sodium works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Crowe sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crowe is trying to maintain the position but Sodium is very close to passing his half guard. Crowe wants to get back to full guard. Crowe is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Crowe keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Crowe looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Crowe looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Sodium is looking to take a break and control but Crowe is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Crowe is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Sodium pulls his head out easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crowe looking for submissions off his back. Crowe blocking the ground and pound attempt from Sodium. Sodium trying to mount his opponent but Crowe defends it. Sodium missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Sodium is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Sodium lands a big shot there that rocks Crowe but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Crowe gets back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crowe moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Crowe is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sodium defends well. Sodium got a little sloppy there for a moment and Crowe has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sodium has managed to get both his arms back between Crowe's legs - danger averted. Crowe utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Sodium chips away with some ground and pound. Sodium throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Crowe works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Sodium keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Crowe's head. Sodium throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Crowe can't keep his opponent in guard - Sodium advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sodium is nestled in close to Crowe, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Crowe has hold of Sodium's hands but Sodium slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Sodium missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Sodium throwing shots but Crowe is blocking nicely. Sodium thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Crowe's head. Crowe moves into full guard.
Crowe is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sodium is aware though and is defending well. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Sodium in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Crowe looking for a guillotine here but Sodium defends easily.
Sodium with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
High Sodium dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

and Sodium counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Sodium not landing any meaningful shots this time. Crowe is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Sodium pulls his head out easily. Sodium moves nicely into side control. Crowe is looking for a sweep. Sodium is looking to take a break and control but Crowe is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Crowe is not in a great position here, taking some shots. High Sodium overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Sodium wants to control but Crowe is keeping him busy. Crowe is looking to reverse the position.

Sodium creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Crowe sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Sodium landing a few strikes. Crowe is working to avoid the ground and pound but Sodium connects with a decent elbow. Sodium in side control lands a decent elbow. Sodium cracks Crowe with a big elbow. Crowe takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Crowe takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Crowe is looking to reverse the position. Sodium lands some shots froms side control.

Crowe takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Sodium landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Sodium lands a few punches from side control. Sodium lands some shots froms side control.
Crowe is rocked! Sodium is chipping away with strikes.
Crowe is still in real trouble! Can Sodium finish him? Sodium scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Crowe is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Sodium can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). High Sodium! High Sodium retains his featherweight title!
