The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Peter Branson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shamrack dives in and grabs Karoa's left leg, looking for a takedown. Karoa pushes down on Shamrack's head and hops out.
Shamrack shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Karoa pinned against the cage. Karoa gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Karoa fails with a takedown attempt.
Shamrack is looking to clinch.
Karoa circles away from the clinch attempt.
Karoa shoots in and bounces Shamrack off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Shamrack looking to control but Karoa passes into half guard.
Karoa looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Shamrack trying to hold on to Karoa's head to control him but Karoa postures up.
