Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bowman Rook!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paul McCracken!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Vladimir Khabensky and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCracken circles away from the clinch attempt.
Rook connects with a leg kick. McCracken looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
McCracken throws a lazy head kick

and Rook counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Rook trying to control but McCracken is working from the bottom.
McCracken working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Rook.
Rook working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of McCracken's head.
Rook throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rook postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Rook loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Rook trying to control the position from guard on top but McCracken is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McCracken tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Rook lands a couple of digs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rook throwing strikes but missing.
Rook slips nicely into half guard.
McCracken keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
McCracken wants to get back to full guard.
Rook wants to pass the guard but McCracken is defending well.
McCracken is trying to get back to full guard.
McCracken tries to kick Rook off but Rook keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rook wants to lay and pray for a moment but McCracken keeps working.
Rook works his foot free and advances to mount.

Rook looking to secure an arm triangle but McCracken defends it well.
Rook lands a big shot there that rocks McCracken but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Rook is landing with some decent strikes but McCracken is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rook postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. McCracken looks a forlorn figure.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rook is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. McCracken can't stay in a position like this for much longer.


McCracken is rocked!
A nice elbow there by Rook.
McCracken is still in real trouble! Can Rook finish him?
Rook postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked McCracken badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Rook around the waist but Rook pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Rook is the winner by TKO! Rook jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bowman Rook!
Bowman Rook was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
