Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luis deFunes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Master Enki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Luis deFunes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Master Enki!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Francis DeMontford and Ron Honeybunn.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Enki avoids the head kick by deFunes.
A head kick misses from deFunes.
deFunes comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
deFunes misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
deFunes walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
The fight stays on the outside here - deFunes looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Enki misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Enki avoids the head kick by deFunes.
Enki throws a looping overhand right but deFunes ducks down to avoid it.
Nice shot lands for deFunes.
deFunes is looking to land body kicks.
deFunes tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Enki uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by deFunes.

Luis deFunes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Enki counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Enki seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but deFunes does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Enki looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
deFunes definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

You can see the frustration on deFunes's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Enki is working deFunes over with some ground and pound from side control.

Enki decides to stand back up. Enki steps back and let's deFunes get back to his feet.
deFunes throws the kick towards the body but Enki avoids it.
Enki keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Enki walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

and Enki counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in deFunes's guard now.
Enki slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

deFunes is refusing to be controlled, as Enki sits in half guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

deFunes lands with a kick to the temple. Enki shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Enki lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but deFunes circles away quickly and effectively.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

deFunes misses with a head kick.
Enki throws an overhand right that lands on deFunes's shoulder, as deFunes tries to avoid the shot.
Enki might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

deFunes moves into the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Master Enki showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Crunch! deFunes slams his shin into Enki's torso.
Enki lands a nice shot that snaps deFunes's head back.
Enki tests deFunes's chin there with a solid looking shot.
deFunes throws a hook to the side of Enki's head but Enki sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
deFunes shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
deFunes tries to clinch but Enki is having none of it.

deFunes ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Enki takes a body punch but keeps moving.

and Enki holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Master Enki is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Enki is working for takedown but deFunes is calmly controlling the position for now.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

deFunes tries to throw a body punch but Enki avoids it by throwing deFunes back against the cage.

Enki misses with a knee strike.

Enki tries to pull guard but deFunes holds him up against the cage and eventually Enki drops back down to his feet.
Luis deFunes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Master Enki.

deFunes swings wildly with an uppercut but Enki uses good head movement to avoid it.

deFunes looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
