Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Mcgillicutty! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, MSgt. Rupert Ritzik! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Ritzik lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Mcgillicutty has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Mcgillicutty and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Mcgillicutty slips under a jab from Ritzik. Ritzik throws a nice inside leg kick. Ritzik ducks under a wild hook from Mcgillicutty. Ritzik gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Mcgillicutty swings for the body but Ritzik moves out of range.
Mcgillicutty throws a combination that misses enabling Ritzik to counter with a crisp jab. Ritzik throws a right and a left that Mcgillicutty avoids nicely. Mcgillicutty throws an off balance right hand
and Mcgillicutty takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Jack Mcgillicutty has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mcgillicutty connects with a body shot that sends Ritzik's belly button to the back. Jack Mcgillicutty seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mcgillicutty tries a head kick but it misses.
Ritzik cracks Mcgillicutty with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Mcgillicutty throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Ritzik walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Mcgillicutty checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Mcgillicutty walks into a straight right hand from Ritzik. Mcgillicutty throws a lazy right hand but Ritzik sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Ritzik wants to slow Mcgillicutty down by chopping away at his legs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ritzik dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Ritzik looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Mcgillicutty rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Ritzik counters with a crisp right hand that drops Mcgillicutty! Ritzik lets Mcgillicutty back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Mcgillicutty is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Ritzik is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Mcgillicutty flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Mcgillicutty is out cold! Ritzik holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). MSgt. Rupert Ritzik! A very excited looking MSgt. Rupert Ritzik rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
