The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
A head kick by Voigl misses
and Gomez counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Voigl's guard now.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Voigl wants to control the position but Gomez says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Gomez content to control rather than advance.
Voigl is not content to let Gomez control the position.
Gomez is taking a breather. Voigl says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
