Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sanford Sharpe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stevie Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stevie Anderson has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Sanford Sharpe's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Stevie Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Chris Edwards and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sharpe misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Anderson scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Sharpe looks like he's trying to stand up.
Sharpe has a hand on Anderson's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Anderson takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Sharpe is squirming around, avoiding Anderson's attempts to control the action.
Anderson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Anderson misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Anderson goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Sharpe is on top in guard.

Sharpe throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Anderson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Sharpe might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Sharpe stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Anderson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Sharpe is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Anderson manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Anderson looking to ground and pound but Sharpe is blocking nicely.

Anderson is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Sharpe is surviving well by controlling Anderson's body position as best he can.
Anderson misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Anderson with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Anderson has control of Sharpe's left arm, preventing Sharpe from doing any damage.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Sharpe blocks a head kick by Anderson.
Sharpe looks for a takedown but Anderson sprawls well.
Anderson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Anderson wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sanford Sharpe. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sharpe fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Anderson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sharpe sprawls well initially but Anderson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Anderson decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Sharpe could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Anderson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Anderson not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Anderson wants to free his trapped foot but Sharpe is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Anderson looks to land a strike but Sharpe avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Anderson advances to half guard.
Anderson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sharpe keeps working.
Stevie Anderson has got the better of the ground game so far.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Stevie Anderson was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Sharpe gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Anderson to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Anderson is looking to work some ground and pound but Sharpe has wrist control.
Anderson looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Anderson tries to free his leg and advance position but Sharpe is retaining full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stevie Anderson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Anderson drives through with a takedown into Sharpe's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Anderson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Let's hope that Anderson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Anderson.
Anderson misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Sharpe looking for a sweep but Anderson has passed into full mount! Oh no!

Anderson wants to finish this one by submission but Sharpe is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Anderson.

Anderson goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Sharpe turns into him and now he's in Anderson's guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Anderson is on top in guard.
Anderson wants to control from the top but Sharpe keeps moving.
