Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shinji Kagawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Masters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shinji Kagawa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ken Masters ! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kagawa moves to clinch but Masters breaks away letting Masters counter with a right hand. We've been told by Kagawa's head coaches at Tokyo Totally Gym + Sauna that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Kagawa tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Masters swivels and escapes. Masters feints a jab promting Kagawa to slip. Masters then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Kagawa slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
It looks like Shinji Kagawa has been cut. Kagawa looks for a takedown but Masters sprawls well. Masters lands a jab-cross combination. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Masters scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Masters 's coach down at OMG! They clinched Kenny! was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Masters 's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Kagawa takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Kagawa takes a shot right to the bread basket. Masters scores with a one two! Kagawa had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Masters fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kagawa.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kagawa shoots in looking for a takedown but Masters manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kagawa's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shinji Kagawa. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kagawa is breathing heavily. Good shot there by Masters . Masters bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Masters lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Masters cracks Kagawa with a good jab. Masters connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Shinji Kagawa's cut is getting worse. Masters scores with a jab to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Masters lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Kagawa backs up against the ropes.
Kagawa fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Masters lands a big head kick that sends Kagawa tumbling to the mat! Masters takes a step backwards and waves Kagawa back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Kagawa is rocked! Kagawa shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Oh Kagawa is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Kagawa fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Kagawa seems to have got his legs back now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kagawa chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Masters can pounce on him.
Masters keeps Kagawa at a distance using the push kick. Masters takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Masters throws a nice inside leg kick. Masters scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Kagawa. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Kagawa takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Shinji Kagawa's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Masters scores with a kick to the midsection. Masters lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Masters throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kagawa stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Masters tests Kagawa's chin there with a solid looking shot. Shinji Kagawa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Masters connects with a right that clearly hurt Kagawa. He's backed up against the ropes with nowhere to go as Masters proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Kagawa collapses and taps out under the pressure!
