Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Reino Tolonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Muuli Potku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Potku has chosen Bad Meets Evil - Fast Lane as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Reino Tolonen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Muuli Potku! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Marco Blurström and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Potku misses with a looping right. Tolonen seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Potku dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Tolonen throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Tolonen lands a leg kick that knocks Potku off balance momentarily. We've been informed that Potku has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Tolonen throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Tolonen closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Potku quickly recovers to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Potku is trying is best to control the position here. Potku avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Tolonen. Tolonen seems to be looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Potku is trying to control but can't.
Potku is controlling Tolonen's position as best he can from this difficult position. Potku is trying to get back to full guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tolonen trying to mount his opponent but Potku defends it. Potku works his way to full guard. Good work. Potku keeping moving, preventing Tolonen from controlling successfully. Potku seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
That's one minute gone in the round. Potku utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Tolonen throws a big elbow that misses. Potku pulls Tolonen in close to prevent any damage.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Muuli Potku was stalling too much, according to the referee. Tolonen throws out a leg kick but Potku moves out of range and Tolonen only half commits. Tolonen throws a leg kick but Potku checks it. Tolonen looks to score with a jab to the body but Potku is just out of range. Potku checks a low kick from Tolonen. A slapping leg kick lands for Tolonen.
Tolonen takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Potku is looking to slow Tolonen down with leg kicks. Tolonen fails to land the takedown.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tolonen is looking to score with low kicks. Tolonen throws the left hand but Potku avoids the punch easily. Tolonen takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Tolonen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Potku slaps away a takedown attempt from Tolonen, before circling back to the center of the mat. Muuli Potku is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Potku circles away from the clinch attempt.
Tolonen finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Potku fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tolonen cracks the inside of Potku's front leg. Tolonen throws a low kick but Potku avoids it. Potku throws a push kick but Tolonen slaps the foot to one side. Tolonen pivots, looking for a leg kick but Potku is out of range and Tolonen settles back down. Potku takes one on the chin but seems OK.
A big left from Tolonen misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Potku lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Potku's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Tolonen connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Potku scrambles back to his feet. Reino Tolonen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Tolonen, right into the meat.
Potku walks into a straight right hand from Tolonen. Tolonen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Potku paws at him with a jab and circles away. Tolonen closes the distance and pushes Potku back into the cage. Tolonen can't find room to land a body shot as Potku controls the action.
Potku's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Potku misses with a body shot.
Tolonen throws a body punch but Potku moves out of range. Potku cracks Tolonen with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Potku has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Tolonen to stand back up!
Tolonen is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tolonen wants to stay close but Potku steps back to make room for something. Tolonen seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Potku and Tolonen drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Muuli Potku! Muuli Potku seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
