Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Julian Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andre Santos will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Luis Engracia and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva drives through and clinches with Santos against the cage.
A right hook to the body lands for Santos.
Silva taking a breather.
Santos wants to break the clinch but can't.
Santos is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Silva is defending well.
Silva is trying to maintain a safe position but Santos gets an underhook and turns Silva into the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Silva - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Santos jumps guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Santos is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Santos can do anything to dispel that myth.
Silva's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Santos wants to stand but Silva is controlling the position.

Santos is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Silva tries to clinch but Santos moves out of range.

Julian Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Santos tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Santos has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Silva is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Santos can't keep his opponent in guard - Silva advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Silva wants to control but Santos is keeping him busy.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Silva lands with a punch from half guard.
Santos is in trouble now - Silva has advanced to mount!
Silva wants to control the pace but Santos is squirming around nicely.
Silva has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Santos's face.

Silva wants to control but instead Santos manages to regain half guard.
Silva is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Santos doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Silva.

Santos is positioning himself well to prevent Silva advancing to mount.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Silva is keen to just control but Santos is a slippery customer.
Silva seems to be looking for submissions.
Silva scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Silva is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Santos has managed to free his arm - good work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Silva works his way into side control.
Silva is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Santos has escaped the position, nice work there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Julian Silva dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Santos shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Silva as he jumps to the side.
Silva gets caught flat footed, as Santos shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Santos's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Silva is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Santos trying to control but Silva is working from the bottom.
Silva lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Santos!
Santos tries to hold on but Silva postures up.

Silva can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Santos is looking to escape.
Silva lands a nice shot to the head.
Silva trying to control but Santos is having none of it.
Silva looking to finish Santos with some ground and pound. This is bad for Santos!
Silva tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Silva in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Santos is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
BOOM! Silva connects with a massive shot to the dome!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Santos can't escape the position.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Silva cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Santos is breathing heavily.
Santos wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Silva trying to control but Santos is having none of it.
Silva with the ground and pound from mount.
Silva scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Santos?
Santos is rocked!
Silva loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Santos scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Silva land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Silva stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Julian Silva!
