The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goatboy connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Goatboy throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Martinez blocks a jab.
Goatboy fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Martinez throws a body punch but Goatboy moves out of range.
Goatboy throws a head kick that misses.
Martinez shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Goatboy as he jumps to the side.
Donk. Goatboy catches Martinez right on the button with a cross.
Martinez takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Martinez looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Martinez just misses with a punch to the body.
Goatboy waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Martinez.
Martinez takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Goatboy lands a high kick!
Martinez drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Martinez passes Goatboy's left leg - he's now in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Martinez is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Martinez maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Goatboy could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Martinez has cracked it and Goatboy is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Martinez!

In his post fight interview, Johnny Martinez started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
