The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gruber takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Hans Gruber seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gruber's corner calls for a 1-2. Gruber obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Gruber sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Kaioh sizes up Gruber with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Gruber has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kaioh connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Gruber to the floor! Kaioh dives in looking for the finish!

It looks like Hans Gruber has been cut.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Kaioh escapes and gets back to his feet.
Kaioh bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Kaioh waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Gruber. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Gruber to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
Gruber is still in real trouble! Can Kaioh finish him?

Kaioh gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Gruber misses with a lunging right hand
and Kaioh counters with a slapping leg kick.
Gruber seems to have recovered his senses.
Kaioh staying out of range there.
Kaioh lands with a kick to the ribs.
Gruber looks winded!
Gruber swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Kaioh counters with a lovely straight right hand!
and Kaioh counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Gruber! He's just covering up as Kaioh starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
