Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bj Becks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lj Gibbs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gibbs has chosen LJ Gibbs as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bj Becks! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lj Gibbs! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Becks throws out a loose jab but Gibbs uses good head movement to avoid it. Gibbs looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Becks is fending him off so far but Gibbs persists. Nope, Becks circles away and we're back to standing. Gibbs closes the distance and clinches up with Becks, looking for a takedown. Gibbs pushes Becks against the cage but Becks circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Gibbs gets a takedown into half guard. Becks is trying to control but Gibbs passes into side control!
Becks wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Becks stops Gibbs from passing to mount. Becks is trying to get back to half guard. Gibbs trying to control the action but Becks is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gibbs working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Becks tries to bench press Gibbs off him but Gibbs keeps the position. Gibbs is looking to take a break and control but Becks is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Gibbs tries to move to mount but Becks blocks the move with his legs. Gibbs tries for a kimura but Becks is defending well. Becks is looking for a sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gibbs has knee on belly momentarily but Becks bucks him off and regains half guard. Gibbs is looking to stall here but Becks recovers full guard. Becks has his hands on Gibbs's head, controlling the position. Gibbs throwing strikes from guard but Becks blocks nicely. Gibbs trying to control the position from guard on top but Becks is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Becks is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Gibbs decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Becks, up you get! Becks throws out a leg kick but Gibbs moves out of range and Becks only half commits. Becks fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Gibbs checks it well. Becks throws a low kick but it's checked well by Gibbs. Gibbs has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Gibbs checks the leg kick. Gibbs keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Becks lunges at Gibbs with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Gibbs's hand. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gibbs. Bj Becks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lj Gibbs. Becks shoots in but no luck this time. Gibbs ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Gibbs is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Becks. Becks waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Gibbs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gibbs shoots in looking for a takedown but Becks manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gibbs's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gibbs fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Becks sprawls well initially but Gibbs persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Gibbs is trying to work for a kimura but Becks is defending well.
Becks tries to get to full guard but Gibbs has control of the leg. Becks is trying to control but can't.
Gibbs is looking for a kimura but Becks is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Gibbs to get the leverage. Becks is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gibbs seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Becks does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Gibbs is looking for submissions but instead, Becks has regained full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Lj Gibbs will probably get the nod. That's time! Becks's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Becks throws a half hearted mid kick. Gibbs has a takedown stuffed. Gibbs misses with a double jab
letting Becks counter with a right hand. Becks looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Becks throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gibbs gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Becks. A jab from Becks misses. Gibbs throws a leg kick that misses. Gibbs shoots in looking for a takedown but Becks manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gibbs's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Gibbs tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Becks here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Becks tried to score with a low kick but Gibbs checks it. Becks scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Becks throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Becks connects with the punch. Gibbs darts in trying to clinch and Becks counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Becks is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Becks is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Gibbs is in trouble now - Becks has advanced to mount! Becks tries to control but Gibbs wriggling away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gibbs is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Becks sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Becks is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Gibbs has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Gibbs! Gibbs throws a big elbow that misses. Gibbs wants to control from the top but Becks keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gibbs is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Becks is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Becks has escaped and now he's on top! Gibbs wants to stand but Becks is controlling the position. Gibbs working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Becks doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Becks manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Becks lands a couple of elbows.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Becks showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Becks wants to control from the top but Gibbs keeps moving. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Becks throws a big elbow that misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bj Becks dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Gibbs throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Becks's waist but Becks gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gibbs off to one side. Becks feints and then cracks Gibbs's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gibbs down. Gibbs tries a low kick but Becks avoids it. Gibbs tries to score a power double leg takedown but Becks sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gibbs somewhat. Becks throws a sloppy head kick and Gibbs moves out of range easily. Becks throws a right and a left that both miss. Becks fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Gibbs. Becks stuffs the takedown attempt from Gibbs. Gibbs gets slowly back to his feet. Bj Becks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lj Gibbs. Becks throws a leg kick but Gibbs checks it. Becks circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bj Becks is winning the standup battle so far. Gibbs missing with a left hand there. Becks was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Gibbs tries for a takedown but Becks circles away easily and Becks counters with a left to the body. Becks wants to land a leg kick but Gibbs is out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gibbs with a poor takedown and Becks counters with a good low kick that Gibbs was not able to check. Gibbs takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Becks scores with a hook to the body. Gibbs takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Gibbs gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Becks lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Gibbs avoids the head kick by Becks.
Becks closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Gibbs quickly recovers to half guard. Becks seems to be working for a kimura but Gibbs defends the submission attempt. Becks is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Gibbs! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Becks lands a big shot there that rocks Gibbs but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Becks working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Becks tries to control but Gibbs wriggling away. Becks is really struggling to control Gibbs but he's trying to hold on to the position. Gibbs has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever. Gibbs is trying to stand back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Becks has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Gibbs has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Bj Becks overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Gibbs is in bad spot here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Becks patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Gibbs wants to get back to his feet. He's half way up but Becks drags him back down with a jolt, managing to get his forearm deep under Gibbs 's chin! Gibbs is in real trouble! His face is turning bright red and he's forced to tap! This one is all over!
