The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia throws a lazy head kick
and Simunek counters with a three punch combo that has Garcia backing up. Garcia nods at Simunek to acknowledge the strikes.
Garcia throws a right hand that Simunek ducks under and follows up with a left that Simunek also avoids with ease.
Garcia on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Garcia misses with a double jab
and Simunek counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
A frustrated look appears on Garcia's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Simunek's coach down at HWP Forcefield was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Simunek's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Simunek lands an elbow inside.
Simunek is working Garcia over against the cage.
Simunek creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Garcia's defenses.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Simunek pulls back and lands a big elbow that stuns Garcia! Simunek unloads with more strikes and Garcia sinks to his knees! This one is all over!

After winning the bout, Ondrej Simunek thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
