Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Djadjo Cigan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Crumbles McKewley! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Ackerman and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McKewley forces Cigan back against the cage and clinches. McKewley pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Cigan throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by McKewley. Cigan misses with an attempted mid kick.
McKewley takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
McKewley tries to clinch but Cigan moves out of range. McKewley avoids the head kick by Cigan.
Cigan misses with a two punch combination.
Cigan is breathing heavily. Cigan is looking to clinch but McKewley is avoiding it.
Cigan throws the kick towards the body but McKewley avoids it. McKewley circles away from the clinch attempt.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cigan misses with a head kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. McKewley feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Cigan's calf. McKewley gets a clinch. Cigan tries to land knees in the clinch but McKewley avoids the damage to the body. Cigan missing with knees to the body.

McKewley blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. McKewley is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Cigan is trying to break free. Cigan putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has McKewley in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. McKewley has Cigan pressed against the cage, preventing Cigan from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

McKewley tries to clinch but Cigan moves out of range. McKewley closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Cigan did well to prevent McKewley getting side control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McKewley decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. McKewley blocks a head kick by Cigan.
McKewley closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. McKewley looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McKewley thows a huge punch but Cigan dodges it nicely.
McKewley stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Cigan to get to his feet. McKewley doesn't manage to clinch there - Cigan circles away.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Cigan tries to clinch but McKewley moves out of range. Cigan closes the distance and lands a one-two. Cigan with a hook. Cigan uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Cigan throws a head kick but McKewley moves out of range.

McKewley fails in his attempt to clinch. McKewley throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cigan's waist but Cigan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McKewley off to one side. Cigan forces McKewley back against the cage and clinches. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cigan tries to land knees in the clinch but McKewley avoids the damage to the body. McKewley is trying to maintain a safe position but Cigan gets an underhook and turns McKewley into the cage. McKewley blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Djadjo Cigan will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Cigan lands with a kick to the temple. McKewley shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Cigan goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Cigan throws a head kick but McKewley moves out of range.

Cigan tries to clinch up and McKewley counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Cigan! McKewley stands up and beckons Cigan to his feet. Cigan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. McKewley fails with an attempt to clinch.
McKewley tries to clinch but fails miserably and Cigan counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Cigan throws a head kick that misses. McKewley tries to clinch there but Cigan circles away.
Cigan looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Cigan misses with a head kick.

Cigan is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. A head kick by Cigan misses and McKewley counters with an outside leg kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round. McKewley changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cigan looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. McKewley tries to advance to mount but Cigan denies him. McKewley decides to stand up, so the ref orders Cigan to his feet. Cigan throws a lazy head kick and McKewley counters with a good, hard body kick but Cigan shrugs it off. Cigan throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cigan tries to close the distance and clinch up but McKewley swats him away and circles back towards the center. McKewley pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. McKewley wants to clinch up but Cigan keeps it at a distance. Cigan throws a head kick that half lands.
Djadjo Cigan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Cigan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but McKewley paws at him with a jab and circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cigan throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Cigan throws a head kick but McKewley moves out of range.

Djadjo Cigan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cigan throws a lazy head kick and McKewley counters with a nice kick to the body. Cigan takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

The fight stays on the outside here - McKewley looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Cigan lands with a slapping head kick. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cigan is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. McKewley is defending well for now. McKewley gets a trip takedown into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cigan looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and McKewley pushes past his half guard into mount! Crumbles McKewley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Cigan keeps the fight on the outside. Cigan throws a series of punches but McKewley avoids them all with ease. Excellent takedown into side control there by McKewley. Cigan is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Cigan manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Crumbles McKewley has got the better of the ground game so far. McKewley tries to roll over but Cigan keeps him under control. Cigan not doing much here.

Cigan content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Cigan escapes and gets back to his feet. Djadjo Cigan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. McKewley fails in his attempt to clinch. Cigan lands with a kick to the temple. McKewley shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cigan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with McKewley, pushing him back against the cage. McKewley on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

McKewley tries to stall but Cigan uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

McKewley's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. McKewley is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Cigan lands a high kick!
McKewley scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. McKewley stands up out of the half guard. McKewley gets tackled into the cage by Cigan. Cigan maintains the clinch. Cigan is trying to break free.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cigan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
McKewley gets a double leg takedown into Cigan's guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cigan wants to get back to his feet but McKewley is in a dominant position and won't allow it. McKewley drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Cigan manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now McKewley has Cigan in his guard. Cigan tries to free his leg and advance position but McKewley is retaining full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. McKewley looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cigan is one step ahead there.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Djadjo Cigan. I think Cigan has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
