Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Paorie Kopenga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Marbury (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ben Marbury is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Paorie Kopenga! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ben Marbury! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Sandra Marshall and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by Marbury or perhaps it was just good defense by Kopenga which made him look bad. Kopenga really is a fat lump. Marbury darts in and clinches Kopenga up against the cage. Marbury taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Kopenga drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Marbury gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Kopenga can't get the takedown.
Kopenga tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Both fighters working to control the clinch. Kopenga tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Marbury's elbow. Marbury blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Kopenga tries to throw a body punch but Marbury avoids it by throwing Kopenga back against the cage. Marbury blocks a body shot from Kopenga.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marbury escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kopenga throws a lazy uppercut
and Marbury counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Marbury. Kopenga breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kopenga throws a predictable looking body shot
and Marbury counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Marbury. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Marbury controlling from the top position. Kopenga looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Marbury has picked Kopenga up and slammed him! Kopenga can't keep hold of the triangle and Marbury manages to pass to side control! Marbury thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Kopenga is trying to control Marbury's posture but Marbury avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kopenga is trying to get back to half guard. You can see the frustration on Kopenga's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Marbury tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Kopenga is looking to reverse the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marbury wants to stand but Kopenga is controlling his arm. Kopenga tries to improve position but can't. Marbury is looking to take a break and control but Kopenga is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Kopenga is looking for a sweep. Kopenga wants to get back to his feet but Marbury drags him back down. Kopenga is looking for a sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Marbury is trying to get an arm triangle but Kopenga is defending well. Marbury trying to control the action but Kopenga is working from the bottom. Marbury has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kopenga thows a body shot but no joy. Kopenga looks to score with a jab to the body but Marbury is just out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ben Marbury dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Kopenga fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Marbury to the ground. Kopenga is now in Marbury's guard. Kopenga is looking to work some ground and pound but Marbury has wrist control. Kopenga working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Kopenga throwing strikes but missing. Kopenga might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Kopenga wants to control from the top but Marbury keeps moving. Marbury is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kopenga is aware though and is defending well. Kopenga lands a couple of elbows. Kopenga trying to control but Marbury is working from the bottom. Marbury escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kopenga gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kopenga throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Marbury looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kopenga is one step ahead there. Marbury looking for a triangle here. Kopenga is fighting it but it looks tight! Marbury pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Kopenga is tapping out - this one is all over!
