Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rogerio Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hang Ken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santos kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is The Radio Dept. - The Worst Taste In Music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rogerio Santos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hang Ken! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ken shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Santos but Santos pushes him off and we're back to square one. Ken throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Santos closes the distance and clinches. Santos could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Santos escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Let's bang! Santos ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Santos fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Ken throws a sloppy body shot
and Santos counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Santos jumps guard and drags Ken to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Santos scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Ken shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Santos counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Santos escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nice body punch from Santos. Hang Ken seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A head kick by Ken misses and Santos counters by clinching up. Santos lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Santos digs a right hand into Ken's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Ken's gas tank. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Santos has Ken pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Santos pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Ken tumbling to the mat - Santos dives into Ken's guard. Ken not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ken might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Santos kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Santos trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Ken manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Santos is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Ken is controlling him. Santos uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Santos is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ken gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Santos counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Rogerio Santos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hang Ken. Santos looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Ken wants to sweep but no luck. Santos decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Santos drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ken is on top in guard.

Ken looking to pass the guard. Ken trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Santos will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Rogerio Santos dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Santos defending well as Ken loads up on a big left hand. Ken gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Santos holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Good body shot from Santos.

Ken jumps guard but Santos stands there with Ken around his waist. Ken gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Rogerio Santos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hang Ken. Santos pulls guard. Ken postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Santos keeping busy on the bottom but Ken has passed one foot through into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ken trying to control the action but Santos is working from the bottom. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Santos blocking the ground and pound attempt from Ken.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Ken is keen to just control but Santos is a slippery customer.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Santos fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Ken sprawls well initially but Santos persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Santos is pressing down on Ken's thigh, looking to free his foot. Ken is holding on for now. Ken is pressing down on Santos's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Santos is looking to stand up but Ken won't let him. Ken throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ken wants to sweep here but Santos controlling him for the moment. Ken wants to get back to his feet but Santos is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Ken looking to hit a scissor sweep but Santos is one step ahead there. Ken is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Ken lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Santos! Santos can't escape the position.
Santos might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Ken sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Rogerio Santos will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Damn, that's gotta suck. Santos can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ken is looking to escape. Ken tries to lock up and control but Santos gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Ken gets back to half guard. Santos thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ken's head. Ken trying to hold on to Santos's head to control him but Santos postures up.
Santos tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Ken misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Ken wants to control but Santos is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Ken works his way to full guard. Good work. Rogerio Santos overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Ken is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Santos stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ken swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Ken tries to clinch but fails miserably letting Santos counter with a right hand. Santos circles away from the clinch attempt and Santos counters with a left to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ken tries to land a front kick but Santos steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Ken tries to clinch and Santos holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Santos lands with a light punch inside. Santos breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Ken gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Santos counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Rogerio Santos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hang Ken. Ken shoots and misses and Santos counters with a single leg into guard. Ken didn't expect that. Santos decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Santos is looking to wear down Ken with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. No joy there for Santos, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Santos lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Ken falls off balance throwing a combination
and Santos counters by moving into the clinch. Santos breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Ken misses with a takedown and Santos holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Santos will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Ken up against the cage. Santos tries to land knees in the clinch but Ken avoids the damage to the body.
And that's the end of the fight! Rogerio Santos showed his dominance in that final round. Well Santos has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
