The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Sergei Dronov and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Panavas gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Panavas throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Panavas throws a nice looking combination but Maxiq bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

We've been informed that Maxiq has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Panavas uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Maxiq.
Maxiq is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Panavas.
Maxiq slips a jab and a cross from Panavas.
Maxiq fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Panavas looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Maxiq looks to land a left hand but Panavas moved out of range nicely.

Panavas gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Maxiq gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
