Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Desmond Devereau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Griffon Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Devereau kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Sans Pression-Territoire Hostile. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunt avoids the head kick by Devereau.
Devereau misses with the combination.
Hunt misses with a jab, cross combination.
Devereau checks a leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hunt slips a jab and a cross from Devereau.

Hunt throws a left and a right that both miss
and Devereau counters with a head kick that drops Hunt - he's looking to finish, following his stunned foe to the ground!
Hunt is rocked!
Hunt moves into full guard.
Hunt is still on wobbly legs! Can Devereau finish him?
Hunt not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Devereau has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hunt is proving hard to escape from.
Devereau trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Hunt bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Devereau's guard.
Hunt seems to have recovered his senses.
Devereau wants to sweep but no luck.
Hunt drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Devereau manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Hunt has Devereau in his guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hunt controls Devereau momentarily but Devereau frees himself.

Hunt manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hunt looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Devereau is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Hunt with shots to the head and body - Devereau looks very uncomfortable down there.
Devereau tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Hunt swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Devereau is now in Hunt's guard. A big mistake from Hunt there, giving up the dominant position!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hunt passes easily into side control. Nice work.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hunt in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Devereau knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hunt on the ground.
Devereau gets back to half guard.
Hunt is keen to just control but Devereau is a slippery customer.
Hunt is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Devereau is just riding it out for now. Hunt eventually gives up the hold.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Devereau is trying to stand back up but Hunt is controlling him

A close round but Griffon Hunt will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Hunt changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Devereau looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Devereau really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Hunt is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Devereau has escaped the position, nice work there.
Hunt wants to lay and pray for a moment but Devereau keeps working.
Devereau is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Hunt is looking to take a break and control but Devereau is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Griffon Hunt.

Hunt throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Devereau swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Hunt counters with a straight right hand.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Devereau throws a sloppy head kick and Hunt moves out of range easily.
Hunt tries to bum rush Devereau with a series of wild strikes but Devereau uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hunt throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Devereau.

Hunt rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Devereau moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Griffon Hunt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Devereau checks the leg kick nicely there.
Devereau pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hunt.
Devereau looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Hunt throws a combination that misses
and Devereau counters with a big head kick but Hunt shrugs it off.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Devereau! Hunt is out on his feet! Devereau rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Hunt is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Hunt is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
