The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Mauricio Rocha and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powell takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Sakuraba shoots for a takedown but Powell saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A slow jab from Sakuraba misses its intended target.
Sakuraba lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Sakuraba decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Sakuraba is looking to advance position but Powell won't allow it.

Sakuraba is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Powell is just riding it out for now. Sakuraba eventually gives up the hold.
