Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rey Larson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlay Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rey Larson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Charlay Scott!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Larson misses with a takedown attempt - Scott sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Larson blocks the body kick.
Scott tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Larson counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Scott!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Larson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Scott, who protects the arm well.

Scott breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Scott lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Scott is looking to clinch but Larson is avoiding it.

Scott has closed the distance and engaged Larson in a clinch.
Scott gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Larson.
Scott connects with a knee to the head.

Scott escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Larson is trying to trip Scott. He has hold of a leg but Scott is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Larson persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Scott is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Charlay Scott will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Larson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Scott fights it off and pushes away nicely.

A slapping body kick lands there for Scott.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Charlay Scott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Scott stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Scott wants it to stay on the feet.
Scott doesn't manage to clinch there - Larson circles away.

Scott moves into the clinch.

Scott pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Scott lands a head kick. Larson smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
We've been informed that Scott has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Scott drops Larson with a big knee straight up the middle! Larson is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!


Larson is rocked!


It looks like Rey Larson has been cut.
Scott lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Larson up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Scott from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Larson's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Charlay Scott!
