Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Blake Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sinisa Veljko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Veljko has chosen Stemm - Face the pain as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Skip Squint and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veljko clinches up against the cage.
Jackson drags the fight down to the ground.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Jackson being controlled here, momentarily.
Jackson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Veljko postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Veljko stands up over Jackson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Veljko seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Jackson trying to keep a closed guard but Veljko is proving a slippery customer.

Jackson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Veljko controls the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Blake Jackson.
Jackson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Veljko.
Veljko has closed the distance and engaged Jackson in a clinch.
Jackson stalling in the clinch but Veljko improves position.
Veljko is working for takedown but Jackson is calmly controlling the position for now.
Veljko tries for a takedown. No joy.
Veljko has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Jackson is trying to keep an underhook but Veljko manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Veljko wants to free his trapped foot but Jackson is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Veljko scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Veljko takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Veljko connects with a nice short shot to Jackson's temple.
Veljko is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Veljko lands a nice short elbow.
Jackson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Veljko has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Jackson is looking to control Veljko's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jackson avoid being mounted?

Jackson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Veljko on the ground.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Veljko in particular looking to stall.

Veljko winds up and cracks Jackson with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Jackson is in trouble now - Veljko has advanced to mount!
Veljko landing punches.
Veljko pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Jackson is rocked!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Veljko cracks Jackson with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sinisa Veljko!
